On behalf of SWYAA-India, seven Ex-PYs welcomed the Participating Youth from various countries to the Indian shores on board ship Nippon Maru as part of SWY20 programme during the Port of Call activities in Chennai. The Ex-PYs attended the reception hosted by the Consulate General of Japan in Chennai on board Nippon Maru in the evening of the 19th. Mr. Kazuo MINAGAWA, Consul General of Japan, Chennai praised the efforts of SWYAA-India in making the efforts to attend the reception to welcome the PYs. |
During this reception Ex-PYs have a chance to hold dialogues with Mr. Kazuo MINAGAWA, Mr. Yoshinori Yakabe, Consul, Consulate General of Japan in Chennai , Mr. Hiroshi FUKAI, Administrator, the 20th Ship for World Youth, Directorate for Policies on Cohesive Society, Cabinet Office, Japan, Mr. Kesavan, Vice -President along with Mr. Rajashekharan, Director of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Youth Development, Government of India, PYs and the assembled guests and introduced SWYAA-India to all of them. They all agreed to work for mutual cooperation towards the goals of SWY. |
